Allergen Immunotherapy
AIT1
PROJECT TYPECoPilot
START DATE2025
Allergen immunotherapy is a well-established form of personalized medicine with proven clinical benefits in reducing respiratory allergy symptoms. However, the cellular and molecular mechanisms that drive its efficacy remain poorly understood. This project will leverage a recently developed, non-invasive approach to directly sample the adenoids, a secondary lymphoid tissue located at the back of the nose, using a nasal swab. This will allow us to gain new insights into the immunological processes underlying allergen immunotherapy.
